What voids coverage

These are the conditions stated in the product documentation:

• Using tools other than the winch handle or ratchet wrench on the gear socket. A pipe, cheater bar, or impact tool applies torque the gear set is not designed for. This is the most common cause of a rejected claim.
• Exceeding the 2.5 ton tensioning limit.
• Exceeding the rated working load limit of 6,600 lb (3,000 kg).
• Modification of the winch, including re-drilling, re-welding, or altering the mounting bracket.
• Wear items and consequential damage. Straps are not covered; nor is damage to cargo, trailer, or third parties.

Making a claim

Contact the distributor you purchased from. They handle the return and coordinate with us on assessment. For a technical assessment before raising a claim, email sales@cnbwinch.com with photographs and a description of how the winch was being used.

Many reported faults turn out to be the loaded-teeth condition described under operating instructions — the small handwheel refusing to turn. That is normal behaviour with a simple fix, not a defect. Check it before returning a unit.

Coverage period

The warranty term and claim window are set in your distributor agreement or purchase terms. Confirm the applicable period with your distributor, or email us and we will confirm what applies to your purchase.
