Request a QuoteWhat it is
The ratchet wrench is an alternative operating tool for our gear-driven winches. Like the standard winch handle it fits the 24.8 mm gear socket, but it ratchets — so the operator does not have to lift and reseat the tool between strokes.
Weight is 3.4 lb (1.55 kg), slightly heavier than the plain handle.
When to choose it over the plain handle
Pick the ratchet wrench where deck clearance is tight and a full handle sweep is not possible — close to a headboard, between stacked cargo, or against a bulkhead. In open deck space the plain handle is faster because a full turn moves more strap per motion.
Many fleets carry both.
Compatibility
Fits every winch in the range — the sliding models and the Weld-On Winch. Do not substitute a pipe, cheater bar, or impact tool on the gear socket; doing so can damage the gear set and voids the warranty.
