Sliding Winches

Track-mounted sliding winches for flatbed trailers. They slide along the trailer's C-channel or L-track, so anchor points can be positioned to suit the load rather than being fixed at build time. All models use the same 22:1 worm gear drive and are rated WLL 6,600 lb.

Models

Choosing between the four

Start with the track already on the trailer, because that decides most of it. C-channel takes the Double C Slider; L-track takes the Double L Slider. The two profiles are not interchangeable, so measure before ordering rather than working from the trailer spec sheet.

The remaining two are variants of the C-channel model. The Extended-Length Double C Slider has a longer body for decks wider than a standard North American flatbed, typically over 102 in — on a standard deck the extra length buys nothing. The Disc C Slider uses a disc clutch instead of the standard mechanism and exists because some markets specified it; fleets already running it standardise on it for parts commonality.

Capacity is not a differentiator here. All four are rated WLL 6,600 lb (3,000 kg) and weigh within 0.7 lb of each other, so the decision is fitment and nothing else.

Common to every model

  • 22:1 worm gear drive — roughly 40 lb of force at the handle to reach working tension.
  • 24.8 mm handle socket. One handle fits every winch in the range.
  • Service temperature range −40 °F to 266 °F on the specified grease.
  • Rated capacity feeds the aggregate calculation in 49 CFR 393.106(d). The minimum tie-down count is a separate test.
