Request a QuoteWhat it is
The Extended-Length Double C Slider has a longer body than the standard Double C, built originally to German market specification for wider trailer decks. Working load limit is unchanged at 6,600 lb (3,000 kg); weight is 13.88 lb (6.3 kg).
When to specify it
Specify the extended body where the track span is wider than a standard North American flatbed — typically decks over 102 in. On a standard-width trailer the extra body length gives no benefit, and the standard Double C is the better fit.
Why a gear drive
A 22:1 worm gear turned by a handle replaces the winch bar. Working tension needs roughly 40 lb of force at the handle, and no bar is driven into the drum — removing the kickback path responsible for most winch-bar injuries.
Cargo securement
Functions as a tie-down anchor under 49 CFR 393.104 and the general securement rule at 49 CFR 393.106, contributing its full 6,600 lb rating to the § 393.106(d) aggregate calculation. The minimum tie-down count under § 393.110 is a separate test.
Service and inspection
Grease with Showa Shell Alvania RA-J (−40 °F to 266 °F) or Valvoline Full Synthetic Moly Fortified. Keep tensioning force below 2.5 tons.
