Double L Slider

What it is

The Double L Slider is the L-track variant of our gear-driven sliding winch. Mechanically it is identical to the Double C Slider — same 22:1 worm gear, same 6,600 lb (3,000 kg) working load limit, same 13.45 lb body — with an anchor profile cut for L-track rather than C-channel.

Choosing between C and L

The choice is determined by the track already on your trailer, not by capacity. Measure the track profile before ordering; the two are not interchangeable. If your fleet runs both, the winches are the same weight and take the same handle, so operators do not need retraining.

Why a gear drive

Tensioning is done with a handle turning a 22:1 worm gear, not by levering a steel winch bar against the drum. Working tension is reached with roughly 40 lb of force at the handle, and no bar is driven into the drum — removing the kickback path that causes most winch-bar injuries.

Cargo securement

Functions as a tie-down anchor under 49 CFR 393.104 and the general securement rule at 49 CFR 393.106. Under § 393.106(d) the aggregate working load limit of all tie-downs must be at least half the weight of the article secured. The § 393.110 minimum tie-down count is a separate test based on article length and weight.

Service and inspection

Grease with Showa Shell Alvania RA-J (−40 °F to 266 °F) or Valvoline Full Synthetic Moly Fortified. Keep tensioning force below 2.5 tons. Inspect straps before every use.
